
I love finding these old houses in Midtown built right after the Civil War, such as the one above, right in the Gothic Revival shadow of St. Alphonsus Ligori, still an active parish church.
It also seems like the Stockton House is back under renovation, after lying largely dormant for many years; it is a Romanesque Revival beauty, and needs to stay put in the long term plans for Grand Center.
Likewise, I hope a use can be found for the old Art-Deco police station on the east side of the neighborhood.
