Northeastern Iowa along the Cedar River is interesting; the whole area is dominated by the river valley.
There is still a railroad through the town and a grain elevator.
I was impressed by the Roman Catholic Church in town, St. Michael’s, which is a nice early Twentieth Century Gothic Revival structure. Due to declines in population and priests, mass is not celebrated very often here.
